This app helps you estimate/set goals regarding the time it will take you to complete any distance Triathlon. It has Sprint, Olympic, 70.3, IM, and custom distances. You can use the swim, cycle, and run sliders to select the speeds that you can complete each one race at. For example Olympic Triathlons require 40km of cycling. If you know how fast you can bike 40 km in (lets say 24km/hr) then Tri Times will be able to tell you that it will take an hour and forty minutes to finish the cycling part at that speed.. Then you can also enter your swimming and running speeds and figure out the completion times for those as well. Not only does the app calculate your time for each part, cycling, swimming, and running, but it also adds them all together. So if you used this Tri Times youâ??d be able to know exactly how fast you can complete a Triathlon in.
There are also options for entering in the transition times for each different part. Getting out of the water and onto your bike might take a couple of minutes, so you can enter that into the appâ??s calculations. Similarly getting off your bike and starting to run might take a couple of seconds as well. Tri Times allows for all of these variables to be set so that you know where to cut down on time so that you can finish a Triathlon faster. Keep in mind that you can use this app for goal setting or for estimations based on what you already know you can do. For example if you know that you can swim 1500m at 150 seconds/100m, bike 40km at 20km/kr, and run 10km at 5:00/km, then you can use Tri Times to calculate all three time aspects. You can also use it to lower your time and set faster goals. Tri Times works with both kilometers and miles, so thereâ??s no worry about converting the two measurements. You can also share your goal, or Triathlon estimation, on Twitter and Facebook.
Mission Accomplished
Tri Times has all the Triathlon distances, and even allows for custom distances. The kilometers and miles option definitely comes in handy, and thereâ??s also an option for setting transition times. This app doesnâ??t leave anything out of the equation and is very useful for Triathlon racers.
Room to improve
Although thereâ??s nothing bad about this application, it could offer a bit more features. An option to save your Triathlon time would be really great. Then you could track your racing time for swimming, running, and cycling.
Conclusion
If youâ??re interested in racing in a Triathlon, or would like to finish faster, then Tri Times is definitely worth a try. For $.99 itâ??s a very useful application that will save racers a lot of time calculating everything by hand.
You might think that learning to drive is pretty scary. However, it’s nowhere near as scary as being a driving instructor.
Getting into a vehicle with someone who has never been behind a wheel before can be downright terrifying. Don’t believe us? Read some of the confessions below, and the decide if driving instructor is really a career choice for you…
Afraid of the Car…
Apparently, a big problem that new students have is being afraid of the power of the car itself. This is pretty understandable when it comes to acceleration power, for example. Speed can be scary when you’re the one in charge of where the vehicle is headed.
But this can also be a problem for braking too. It seems that many students are afraid to apply brakes with full force. Mac Demere is a fairly famous driving instructor, and even he had his problems with one young man. The man in question was driving on a driving track, and was approaching a hairpin bend. Having previously had problems getting the student to accelerate,
Demere wasn’t particularly worried about going to fast. Until the man refused to hit the brakes. After telling the student ot brake, and eventually resorting to yelling and screaming, the car ended up bouncing of course and being damaged.
When asked, the student reported that he was afraid of skidding. He had made the decision to crash the car rather than risk skidding…
Preferring Women…
This is less of a story, and more of an interesting confession. But when an unnamed fifty year old driving instructor announced that he preferred female students over male students, he created an outpouring of feeling from fellow driving instructors.
Apparently, the majority of instructors prefer female students as they are easier to teach, less likely to take risks, and are comfortable admitting the fact that they don’t know how to drive, rather than pretending that they know what they’re doing. So despite women’s reputations as bad drivers, it seems that at the very least they are preferred by driving instructors…
Not All Instructors are God
This confession comes straight from an unnamed instructor, who admits that he has now given up the profession.
His client was a woman of a certain age, who had a penchant for low cut tops, and was rather well endowed. The instructor also admits that it was quite difficult to keep his attention on the road, given the distractions that were in the car, and that he may not have been the best driving instructor in the world.
However, once the woman had completed a couple of lessons, she seemed like she was becoming a good driver, so he took her out on some relatively straight country roads so she could practise driving at higher speeds.
Unfortunately, the higher speeds on a quite bumpy country road made the distractions in the car rather more mobile, until they escaped from their tight tshirt, and became free in the car. The woman, rather disconcerted at this point, lost control of the car and turned the wheel, directing the car towards a hedge.
The driving instructor was rather too shocked to do anything about this, and so the woman crashed the car into the hedge. The instructor admits briefly considering taking the blame himself for what happened, but later decided to be honest with the police.
He suffered no extreme repercussions, and the car was not badly damaged. He did give up teaching driving after this incident, however, stating that he had a wife at home, and didn’t want to run the risk of being caught in a car with a half naked woman again…
Phil Turner is a teacher, and once taught his (ex)wife to drive. You could not pay him enough to sit in the passenger seat with a learner driver, besides which the car insurance quote with a learner driver on the insurance is frightening, not to mention the increased chances of losing his no-claims discount.

Now, call me an old cynic or even a belligerent curmudgeon, but there was a time when radio a technological force for good; a time when, every so often, it had something important to say and a message to impart.
Tune in to your local radio waves nowadays and all you get is an ear-invading melange of waffling DJs, vacuous jingles, and some twelve-year-old pop star wannabeâ??s â??next big hitâ?.
Well, excuse me, but radio reaches millions and millions of people and so surely is stands to reason it should be used as a more educational, uplifting, and spirited force of good. It should occasionally make bold statements, rousing speeches and galvanize an often dispirited population. Now all you get over your early morning soggy bowl of All Bran is some limp-wristed pop ballad by some acne faced, floppy haired infant.
In short, it has the potential to change the world. And it has done â?? several times. Â Here are five of the most important, influential and groundbreaking radio broadcasts to ever hit the airwaves.
Â
War Of The Worlds
Probably the most famous of all radio broadcasts, Orson Wellesâ?? adaption of HG Wells classic novel was performed and aired on Halloween 1938. Told in a series of episodic fragments and bulletins as a supposed martian invasion took place, it duped a somewhat naive and gullible American public in to thinking it was a real attack, causing mass panic and disruption as they tried to evacuate their homes and cities.
We Shall Fight On The Beaches
Along with his â??Never was so much owed by so many to so fewâ? speech, this â?? made by Winston Churchill on 4th June 1940 – is a masterclass (and masterpiece) of public oratory. Defiant, resolute, stoic, and impassioned, this is still the bench mark by which all other speeches are judged. Forget your New Labour â??Things can only get betterâ?, this is the kind of heartfelt, ennobled, heroic rhetoric that still gives you goosebumps.
The Hindenburg Disaster
Built in 1935 to carry passengers from Europe to America , The Hindenburg (named after the German president who appointed Hitler) burst in to flames when Germans used flammable hydrogen instead of helium. As he blazing zeppelin crashes to the ground, reporter Herbert Morrisonâ??s narration of the event (â??Oh, the humanity!â?) is distressing, moving and palpable, making for one of the most immediate, gut-wrenching and tragic reports of a disaster in history.
â??I Have A Dreamâ?
No, not the mawkish warblings of Westlife, but Martin Luther Kingâ??s most famous rallying cry for integration and harmony between blacks and whites. It was a milestone for the Civil Rights movement when he gave it in front of the Lincoln Memorial for the Washington For Jobs And Freedom March, and became the defining speech for not only King but also for the impact it had on the rest of the world.
Charlie Sheen
His family is Hollywood royalty, heâ??s been in Wall Street and, erm, Hot Shots, and commanded $1.8 million an episode for Two and a Half Men, but his best role has arguably been that of his real life, drug-taking, alcohol-swigging, erratically-behaved, prostitute-cavorting self. His rant on American radio station KLAC, in which he attacks colleagues as â??fools and trollsâ? with â??ugly wivesâ? and â??loser livesâ?, is a blistering, bitter, outrageous verbal screed. It certainly doesnâ??t match Churchill for eloquence, but itâ??s undeniable Sheen gets his point across (and a few things off his chest).
Martin Luther King had a dream, and so do I â?? that one day the airwaves will be filled another important, groundbreaking transmission like one of these; one that any radio station or TV commercial production company would chew its own arm off to broadcast.
Can you think of any other iconic radio broadcasts?
Gavin Harvey is a dedicated personal trainer who used to suffer from serious wanderlust but whose feet have now firmly landed in his favourite city of Bristol. He loves watching classic movies and, though he loves listening to his local radio station, often pines for something more thrilling to fill the airwaves. He often blogs for Space City.
The objective of the game is to race a pogo jumper to the top of the mountain by eating healthy food and becoming fit. When you first start out the pogo jumper jumps up and you have to go left or right by tilting your device. Landing on another platform will mean that you can jump up again, but if you miss and fall, you have to start all over again.
Some platforms have green and red apples. These apples help you get healthy just like in real life. Once you fill your health progress bar you will go through a transformation and become an even healthier pogo jumper.
In Adventure Chub Jump you have to avoid bad foods such as pizza and burgers. Pizzas can be stomped on to get rid of, but burgers cannot.
If you collect a rocket then you can get extra boost and fly up for a limited time. Delicious drum sticks will get you even healthier than apples! So look out for them and collect as many as you can.
You can also share your final score on Facebook and Twitter, as well as challenging friends through multi-player.
Mission Accomplished
This game promotes healthy habits in young children. The gameplay is simple and fun. Also the free version is just as good as the full one. The paid and free versions both have 6 awesome adventure maps and 6 different character transformations.
Room to improve
Free version is ad supported. For $.99 you can buy the app with no advertisements, and you will also get the ability to buy unlimited boost.
Conclusion
If you like jumping platformers then you might want to give this Adventure Chub Jump a try. Since it has a free version thereâ??s no risk in trying it out and not liking it.
Any mention of a business plan makes fledgling business owners nervous. It is apparently a situation which makes us paralyzed by fear as it is considered to be a huge task. But, writing the first computer business plan may not be such an intimidating task.
Realizing the need for business plans
Most successful businesses plans are not long and exhaustive. In fact, they are terse with just two or three pages devoted to them. Business plans are basically made in order to pen down the ideas and goals on a paper which acts as a road map to your progress.
Starting a new IT business entails a baseline so as to have an idea of your status quo and your mission to achieve in the course of a few months or years.
Since these documents are framed after careful scrutiny, there is a tendency to think that one should not alter them. However, this is not the case and small businesses experiencing changes regularly should always be flexible enough to be able to make some relevant changes in the plan. This ensures that businesses can cater to the changing times.
The various versions of the document are important tools to help you take strategic decisions for the growth of your business. Some of the vital sections which your first computer repair business plan should include are:
1. Summary
A brief outline of the business will tell where the business stands currently and where you intend to see it in a few years. It should preferably contain information in bullet points and ideally written after the completion of other parts of the document.
2. Core business and Products
This is a description of the exact nature of your business. It means presenting the basic products as well as services the company offers. One should mention what kind of developments are likely to happen to them in a brief span of time.
3. Market areas
It is pertinent to identify the competition as well as target market for your business. You may mention the prevailing market trends as well as any positives or negatives which are emerging due to the same.
4. Sales and marketing
This is an extremely critical part of your document as product pricing is a big factor in determining the success of any company. If you have a target audience in mind, then you can extrapolate details on how the market would be tapped.
5. Accounts and finance
For any new Computer Repair Company to do well, calculations on costing should be carefully done. One should look at what kind of expenses need to be incurred to do well.
6. The path
Every business should envisage what it aims to achieve at the end of every year as well as the ultimate goal.
7. SWOT Analysis
This method is done by various kinds of businesses to analyze and list down the strengths, weaknesses as well as potential opportunities and threats.
A business plan does not entail finer details. In case, financial support is needed from investors or banks, you may provide in-depth information on a few aspects of your plan like the financial or marketing plan.

In the last twenty years, the world has been changed by the evolution of the mobile phone. During these two decades, the mobile phone has gone from being a pretty useless brick in our pockets to a device that we couldnâ??t quite imagine our lives without.
Mobile phones have changed the way we interact with each other, the way we interact with ourselves and made anyone in the world far more accessible than ever before. Twenty years ago, no one could have predicted the profound effect mobile phones would have on global society. In the world we live today, people still rely on landlines and other forms of comunication, but mobiles are the priority.
The mobile is vitally important to how we communicate and this will not die in the future. It is such a functional device, you can even top up your Credit Talk these days on your mobile through PayPal to make cheap calls to Pakistan for example, companies like dialtosave offer these services and are keeping up with the current times, which is more technological than having an international calling card which is more likely to get lost quicker!
So letâ??s take a trip down memory lane as we examine the evolution of the mobile phone.
Just try to imagine your life without a mobile phone; itâ??s difficult isnâ??t it? How many of us are actually woken up by our phones, having about three different alarm times to make sure we wake up? Count how many times a day you interact with your phone, you probably canâ??t put a number on it. Whether itâ??s picking your phone up to check if you got a text from that girl you like, checking your work emails every now and again or even playing Angry Birds to alleviate the stress of a long bus journey home. The youth of today struggle to comprehend how people actually survived without their mobile phones; how people actually found anything without Google maps, or let their friends know if they were running a bit late.
However phones have come a long way in the last twenty years; you couldnâ??t use a 1992 mobile phone to send a picture message or even an SMS. So, how have phones evolved over time to now become a device which is inexplicitly entwined into the daily fabric of our lives?
How phones have changed
When examining the evolution of the mobile phone, one can notice three distinct stages of change that the device has gone through.
1992 – 2001 – The first popular mobile phones. In 1992 we saw the first phone, the Nokia 1011, to become digitally encoded. This meant that outsiders could not listen in to conversations that were had between devices via radio receivers. Phones could do the bare minimum; send text messages, make calls and a few other applications. The Nokia 5110 was the first â??fashionableâ?? phone in 1998, being released in an array of different colours. You could also play snake, which was seen as remarkably gamechanging. In 1999 came the Nokia 3210, which was seen as the crowd favourite of this era.
2002-2006 – The next generation. During this time period colour, cameras, email, decent internet access, more sophisticated games and music was added. People were starting to use their phones to store information on. Between these years, it was where society really started to see how mobile phones could benefit their lives on a daily basis and along came the Sony Ericsson’s of the world.
2007-2013 – The birth of smart phones. Originally in 2007 iPhones were called â??God Devicesâ?? simply because they changed the world of mobile technology like no other device had done. Through use of apps, touchscreen technology and design; Apple set a precedent for mobile technology. These were phones that people would begin store their life on; many people started to feel disconnected if they didnâ??t have their phone nearby. Samsung, Nokia, HTC Android all followed suit in the smart phone market by all releasing their own versions. Recently, the iPhone 5 was released – the third released version.
We currently live in a world where mobile technology knows no bound. Apps can do many things from unlock the front door of your house, count how many calories youâ??re eating or even work out your tax. So, what is the future of mobile phone technology? Will we eventually have mobiles that are embedded in our arms; so that we are never without them? Patents suggest that there will be in advancements in touch screen, venturing into the 3D, known as advanced haptic technology. Other from that, graphics, material and battery life will always be improved on. However, you can guess that in ten years from now, the way we interact with phones will be even more in depth than it already is.

In the age of the Tablet and the Smartphone the laptop is no longer king and is beginning to look increasingly clunky and outdated. Here are the main reasons why:
Â
1) Size Matters. Fact.
Despite being just over five foot myself, I am a great believer in the view that size does matter. Unfortunately, for the humble laptop (once a key staple for any self-respecting lover of technology) size is an important factor contributing to its decline of popularity. Even though there have been immense advancements in technology over the past few years, the laptop as a piece of equipment has failed to adopt and implement any drastic changes in size. With this, it is easy to see why small tablets and even smaller Smartphoneâ??s which can both perform similar tasks to a laptop have risen in popularity.
2) Ow! The Weight of this Tablet/Smartphone is Hurting My Arm. Said No One. Ever
Iâ??m lazy, but importantly I have accepted this. Like most people I donâ??t really take any pleasure in carrying heavy objects, especially when a smaller and relatively light weighted alternative is available. The laptop for any public transport commuter, walker or student is guilty of not only being a heavy object, but one which requires accessories such as a charger in order to retain its functioning ability for the duration of a day. For modern technology flexibility is vital, and along with its weight and size the laptop has rigid constraints, whereas the tablet and Smartphone offer a key element of flexibility.
Â
3) Hot Spots, Open Zones, 3G and 4G.
If you are over the age of 18 then like me you will distinctly remember the simpler time of dial-up services and the accompanying annoying sound it would loudly make when connecting to the internet.
Fortunately as technology has advanced we have seen the introduction of broadband and Wi-Fi networks, with their wonderful hot spots and open zones. As a result of this we no longer need a laptop in order to connect to the internet on the go, but we can just simply connect on any tablet or Smartphone and perform the same internet related tasks.
In addition to this the availability of 3G and the newly introduced 4G has introduced a new way in which we can connect on the move, and sadly the laptop can no longer always guarantee this in the most compact way, thus almost heralding its own demise. Letâ??s not forget the innovative technology of server hosting and cloud computing that has revolutionised the business world. Who even needs a laptop?
Despite the impending end of the laptop age, I am confident that they will make great ornaments to display as a sign of times gone by.
Do you believe that the laptop should not wave the white flag of surrender just yet? Leave them in the comment section below!

Graffiti is the expression of a free artist; the design of free will carved out with emotions on the medium of the artistâ??s choice. The illustrations he creates are completely subjective, since they are the musings of his creativity or repressed feelings.
The art of graffiti is most visible on the brick and boring walls of subway stations, over-head bridges and also secluded walls behind alleys. However, what is art that cannot be appreciated or shared? Now, the internet has become an alternative way to create and share graffiti by posting online.
Awakening to the virtual world
The virtual world has opened up avenues unexplored for the art of graffiti. Now, you can tag and share your drawings with your friends and acquaintances online with a revolutionary smart phone reality app called LZRTAG. In fact, the enhanced smart phone app is trying to make the virtual graffiti imagery more interesting by upgrading processes to tag images and animation.
This new Android platform smart phone app shows paired marker tags, a 3D barcode modification, which triggers the â??virtualâ?? and â??realityâ?? aspect of the app. You can zero-in on the marker tags with your smart phone camera. By doing so, the image will be visible on the mobileâ??s screen in between the two bracket of tags. These special tags can pertain to heavy 250 KB animation files and also not so heavy files like still imagery.
An artistâ??s delight
With the amazing LZRTAG app, any artist can create an image or any form of animation, upload it to the website and then place the marker tags on a real-world surface. These are akin to the corner pieces that are used to bind together photographs in a photo-book album. Moreover, when these marker tags are well positioned they generate a frame for the tag to come into view.
Each uploaded tag stays for as long as six months worth a minimum time span. It can stay longer if it is being read regularly or quite often. If the tag has not been read for up to six months, the marker tags are reused or recycled to be applied with another tag.
What’s more, tagging and sharing is not the only feature the LZRTAG app boasts of.
Big benefits with a small app
It proposes more uses than just a virtual graffiti spray. It can be widely used by advertisers and media conglomerates to enhance the element of reciprocation and interaction via the print media, out-door-advertising billboards, and also via the desktop or laptop screen. In fact, an advertiser can run an animated image or picture of a particular logo or product.
For instance, a daily newspaper may also incorporate marker tags in a story to give additional imagery or simple video animations. Other examples of a tag on the reality appâ??s website are flashing the logo of a company, a fashion or womenâ??s magazine carrying an animated image of a lipstick or gloss being applied to a pair of lips. The LZRTAG app currently offers a free service. But, for big, corporate usage by advertisers, the company is giving out a license in order to host tags.
