Icon For How To Execute The Perfect Prank

Pick Your Prank and Victim

The first and most vital part of pulling the perfect prank is finding the right prank to pull on the right person. First you must think of someone who you would like to prank, usually a close friend or family member that you have access to pull a prank on. If you are looking for a good reaction find a victim with a short temper, but be aware that this could put you in a very dangerous situation when the victim realizes you’re the perpetrator.

Once you have found your victim that you would like to tantalize, you need to find a prank that will suit them best. There are many different gags that can be found online on stores like ComedyKnockout.com. If your victim is a lottery fanatic, I would recommend the gag lottery ticket. For spouses or girlfriends the fake confirmed pregnancy test will surely get a great reaction. The best pranks include a bit of originality so adding your own flare to your prank is a necessity. Creativity is a big key to pulling the perfect prank.

Prepare To Pull The Prank

Whatever prank you decide to pull, you need to make sure you are prepared and ready to follow through with it. If you prank requires some kind of setup make sure you do so in complete secrecy and stealth, because the element of surprise is one of the most important factors of prank pulling. If your victim becomes aware of your intentions then your cover is blown and your prank is useless. It is best to hide all emotions before the prank to keep suspicion down; uncontrollable laughter is a dead giveaway of a coming prank.

Execution of the Prank

Now that you have decided on the perfect prank and set-up all the preparation necessary it is now time to execute your prank. The execution of your prank should be nice and smooth if you prepared correctly. Find a good spot to observe your work in action, sit back, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. For the best reactions you may want to milk your victims anger or excitement, but be aware that once your victim realizes you pulled the prank there is a high chance of retaliation. I recommend having some form of protection or a quick exit route for your safety once you are found out.

SEO Tips

40 tips that can help optimise your SEO . . .

Below are tips to optimise your SEO for your website. The list is not comprehensive and open to debate. Any additional tips you have, feel free to leave a comment as your input is vaulued.

1) Blog comment on dofollow enabled blogs relevant to your niche. Plus a few nofollow comments to get an even spread, to make your comment behaviour appear more natural.

2) If you use WordPress, put at least 2 tags on every post as Google sees them as keywords and it will get a little bit more traffic.

3) Put H1 text in all articles posted, this is the most important piece of text Google looks at.

4) Make sure you use keywords, one in the first H1 paragraph, again in the main body and lastly in the end paragraph.

5) Keep your URL (website name) as short as possible

6) The page title for your site should be 10 -70 characters long (70 to be optimal) including spaces. This title should be concise and containing your very best keywords.

7) Make sure your meta description for your site is of optimal length (70 – 160 words in length), again, containing your best keywords. 160 is optimal.

8) Make sure all your images have ALT text and get an image map for your website. There are image map plugins available in WP. This should obviously be combined with a site map.

9) Be aware of your text to HTML ratio. The more text there is compared to HTML the better.

10) Frames: Don’t use them! Don’t use Flash either. Both are not recognised by Google for page ranking or indexing.

11) Make sure your website has a robots.txt file to stop search engines accessing pages you don’t want accessed.

12) Make sure the Doctype is specified so that browsers will correctly render your content.

13) Consider using ‘Microformats’ to enable search engines to be more efficient on your site.

14) Look up ‘Dublin Core’ on the Internet and see how this can benefit your site.

15) Look up Geo Meta Tags on the Internet and consider using them.

16) This is an obvious one, but make sure you have a feed to your website, a newsletter and open up your site to comments, even if comments have nofollow enabled.

17) Create a ‘Favicon’ as it looks professional and users are more likely to click on your favicon in their saved favourites because it stands out.

18) Try and join at least 20 social networks and get at least one link to your site on each, but add valuable content on each (this takes time . . .) The search engines will recognise this and will add more prestige to your site for page rankings.

19) Join in with online forums as people will click on your link if you put up some really good forum content. Make your forum comments extremely interesting or useful.

20) Exit pop-up software is a no-no! Some SEO fanatics argue that it keeps people on your site for longer. Yes, it does, but they won’t come back to an annoying site. Imagine not oiling the hinges on a shop door to keep customers in – would they ever come back . . .no

21) Guest post regularly on good sites with posts relevant to the theme of your website. Open up your Blog to guest posts and form relationships with good writers.

22) Vary the link text on each URL link in guest posts to your site. See the latest Google algorithm updates to see why.

23) Don’t underestimate images. Images make your website look beautiful and interesting, YouTube videos too. People will revisit a colourful site more than a text/black and white plain site.

24) Seek SEO advice rather than services. If you want to delegate SEO tasks, then seek out an SEO firm and you will already be tuned up on what SEO tactics are good for your website after research and you’ll be able to see exactly what they are doing and see through any hype to recognise good old hard work done by a reputable SEO company.

25) If you are making a new site, plan the site and categories + sketch the layout. Or, delegate the task to a good website designer.

26) Promote your company’s DNA in everything you do, from forum commenting to guest posts. Every time your fingers hit the keys on your keyboard with a link to your website you are promoting the feel of your service/website. Less is sometimes more, make everything you do shout out ‘quality and care’, rather than short forum comments, nondescript comments such as ‘Nice post!’ and mediocre guest posts.

27) Bring yourself into your website. Post up a picture of yourself in the ‘About Us’ page. Actually seeing you will give people more confidence to trust you.

28) Promise 100% and deliver 200%. If you offer a service, do a better job than they ever expected or over deliver with a freebie. Word of mouth and recommendations are worth more than any advertisement for your website.

29) Get an Android app made up for your website. It adds prestige and also drives a little bit more traffic to your website. Forget iOS apps linking to websites, they won’t accept the app in the first place.

30) Don’t listen to people advising you to cram in keywords. 1 or 2 keywords threading throughout your post is enough. 2% is enough to be effective and will not be seen as ‘cramming’ by Google. Better to get a few good articles up with your best keywords than have mechanical looking keyword stuffed ugly articles.

And one extra tip . . .

31) There is no perfect SEO method, algorithms change and certain SEO methods will be easier or harder to follow depending on the niche you are in or how much time you have. Don’t beat yourself up, just do the best you can. Follow the best SEO methods that you can and most importantly ‘have fun’ as this will be reflected in the work you do. The most knowledgable SEO advisors are at . . . you guessed it . . . Google. Read the Google websites guidelines and hold this close to your chest as a kind of webmasters bible. They are in complete control of the algorithms that shape SEO.

32) After recent Google updates, quality posts are now favoured. Therefore, it may be a good idea to scan your content and weed out boring posts, posts with pitiful traffic or thin posts below at least 350 words. You may want to apply ‘nofollow’ to pages such as ‘About Us’ or ‘Privacy Policy’ & shopping cart pages etc.

33) Google loves pics and video and more importantly, so do readers. Some people make the argument that YouTube videos take people off of the page, but in fact, if readers watch the video on your article your bounce rate is enhanced and if they click on ‘View in YouTube’ it opens as a new window in your browser anyhow, with your article still open in the background. So the previous argument is debatable.

34) Infographics are the new ‘in thing’ but never shove up an infographic that is not linked to a quality article. The infographic is just seen as an image and nothing more, so you need a word count with it. For readers, if you have an infographic at the end of a post it increases the time that the viewer stays on your post. It can add value to the post in the reader’s eyes also. There are some pretty awesome infographics out there too.

35) If you are advertising a product, try linking the ads to pages within your website and they will not be viewed as ads by Google, as in being directed to another website. However, if your ads are not excessive you don’t have to worry.

36) Do not put ads ‘above the fold’, as in at the top of your webpage, put them to the side or at the bottom as this will damage your site’s PR value for sure.

37) How can you beat Google’s algorithm changes if you don’t know what they’ll be? You can’t in short, but if you aim at an even spread and don’t do anything excessive apart from putting up excessive original and interesting posts you won’t have to worry. For instance, what if Google punished people for putting up guest posts on high PR sites only? Well, if you’ve done an even spread, such as posting on the odd PR1 site, you don’t have to worry.

38) Never translate articles from another language into English, Copyscape check it and put it up once Copyscape has passed it. Google are cleverer than this and if they aren’t punishing this behaviour now, they will surely pick up on it in the near future. This would mean scouring your site and ripping down pages at a later date, if you can remember which ones were re-spun that is.

39) Apply nofollow to your tags in WP.

40) Apply nofollow to your categories in WP.

Mobile apps exist for practically every subject known to man. It only makes sense that they should be deployed for conferencing purposes.

Below are three reasons why your next conference should have its own custom app deployed for all the top mobile platforms:

REASON 1: Visibility

A conference cannot be considered a success if nobody shows up to it. While traditional advertising in newspapers, trade magazines and television may still be useful, mobile app stores are becoming more and more effective at promoting oneâ??s brand name. A conference mobile app can serve as a virtual brochure, detailing everything your conference has to offer to prospective attendees. While traditional brochures and advertisements have to be physically discovered in a newspaper, magazine or other physical venue, a mobile app can be found simply by searching Google, Apple iTunes or the Android Play Store from the convenience of oneâ??s computer or mobile device. The price paid per viewer achieved with traditional advertising media cannot even begin to compare with the low cost required per user download!

REASON 2: Convenience

A mobile app can be used to better serve both your conference staff and attendees with features that make it easier to navigate the entire conferencing lifecycle. Instead of fumbling through a printed book, users can easily search for conference topics right from their mobile devices. An automated booking function can allow them to pre-book a seat and check in using QR code technology. Integrated geolocation and map functions can help them not only find the conference venue, but the individual conference rooms they wish to attend as well.

REASON 3: Permanence

Unlike bulky conference directories, catalogs and handbooks, conference apps do not clutter the office; they conveniently reside in oneâ??s mobile app alongside other important apps. This allows an attendee to be constantly reminded of a conference without being pushed aside or, even worse, tossed into the â??circularâ? file. If a conferenceâ??s mobile app is engaging enough, the attendee will continue to make use of it long after the conference is already over. If done correctly, the conference mobile app can be programmed to remind the attendee about various topics, including related websites, whitepapers and even future conferences they may be interested in. This sort of permanence within the userâ??s virtual world is something traditional media cannot compete against.

Visibility, convenience and permanence must be taken into consideration when making the decision to create a mobile conference app. More often than not, deploying a customized conference mobile app for a conference, workshop or other corporate event will more than pay for itself with the added number of attendees it brings in.

Gaming In Australia Image

In 2011, the world saw the release of La Noir, a game set in 1947 Los Angeles with players taking the role of LAPD Detective Cole Phelps.

It was a critical and commercial success – earning praise for its innovative gameplay and excellent production value. It topped the UK game chart for three weeks and became the best-selling game of May 2011 in the United States.

Here was a game where the main character had a gun, but wasn’t supposed to use it; where you played a detective who did actual detective work. Interviewing witnesses, investigating crime scenes and interrogating suspects â?? reading their realistically animated facial expressions for clues â?? was the name of the game. Add to that a look and feel reminiscent of classic films, like LA Confidential, and it seemed clear that Sydney-based studio Team Bondi was one to watch. Fans eagerly anticipated their next move.

But several months later, Team Bondi had closed its doors and declared bankruptcy. A seven-year development period for La Noir and poor leadership at the studio were cited as reasons for its downfall, but to many is was just indicative of the poor state of the Australian video game industry.

Team Bondi is just one of several Australian studios to have shut down in the space of a few months. THQ-owned Blue Tongue Entertainment and the Melbourne branch of Dead Space developer Visceral Games join them on the casualty list. The closure a year prior of Spyro the Dragon and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed developer Krome Studios, and of the Pandemic Studios Australian branch a year before that shows this isn’t an isolated case.

Overseas Publishers Discouraged from Investing in the Australian Market

In 2010, Australian consumers spent 1.7 billion on video games, and statistics indicate the target market in Australia to be as diverse as anywhere else, with just under half of its gamers being female compared to 38% in 2005, and the average age for gamers raised to 32 years old (www.inaglobal.fr).

Yet, a lack of incentives and a number of aversions make the Australian market unappealing to overseas investors. These include:

  •  A high Australian dollar, making video game development more expensive in Australia then it would be in other places.
  •  Lack of tax incentives. Tax breaks for the industry in the UK and Canada make them epicenters of video game talent.
  •  An out-of-date Australian content rating system that classifies games as suitable for aged 15 and up but lacks an 18+ rating. Games deemed suitable only for age 18+ risk being banned. In 2009, this almost resulted in game-of-the-year award winner Fallout 3 being denied to Australian gamers â?? Bethesda Entertainment eventually altering the content to earn the 15+ rating.

The ultimate result is big international video game publishers assigning Australian studios mediocre projects, primarily movie tie-ins, without granting them any of the sought-after Triple A titles (Triple A being the term for highly anticipated and heavily marketed releases). With the video game industry as a whole becoming increasingly hit-focused, those middle-ground projects that fall between the triple A titles and cheaper mobile games are unlikely to prove profitable.

Strategies for Growth

Australian game developers feel the industry requires greater support from their government. According to theconversation.edu.au, the film and television industries have always received more funding due to the higher number of employment opportunities they create, yet greater investment in the video game industry could establish it as a source of jobs and revenue. Australia may only represent 2% of the world market, but one of the benefits of being an export-based business is the potential wealth of foreign money flowing into the economy.

The ‘Film Victoria’ organization is a step in this direction. It was established by the Victoria state government to support film, television and digital media industries, and aids Australian developers in pursuing local talent and the creation of original franchises to follow the example set by LA Noir.

Additionally, Australian developers feel that starting small by exploiting the rising popularity of mobile games could aid the industryâ??s growth. They require fewer resources to make but draw in great revenue, and so are ideal for small developers to establish a foothold in the industry. Proximity to the highly profitable Asian gaming market is another factor Australian developers have yet to take advantage of.

Examples such as LA Noir prove the Australian video game industry has much to offer. Itâ??s hoped that once the correct measures are taken, Australian developers will at last have the success to match their notable contributions.

Top Movies Grossing In Asia

Movies are a top choice by people for their entertainment. When viewed on the big screen, it gives the audience a different kind of experience, one that allows them to be transported to another era or setting.

This need for entertainment is what inspires film makers to create movies that they feel will not only educate the people but something that they can relate to and help relieve their stress. Asia is one continent that has a thriving film industry and has millions of movie fans as well. Numerous foreign films notably those from Hollywood shown in the region have become box office hits in different Asian countries and this situation continues until today.

Letâ??s find out then what latest movies have gained the attention of Asians in the recent months.

For 2012, The Avengers was a top grossing film in the region before the release of Spider-Man 3. The film earned $217 million making it the third highest grossing movie of all time trailing behind Titanic and Avatar. The Avengers was a hit in Korea and India.

As expected, Spider-Man 3 earned huge revenues on opening day in various Southeast Asian nations to include Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines.

In 2011, foreign films that earned well at the box office in Hong Kong and the rest of Asia are Transformer 3, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Mission Impossible â?? Ghost Protocol. Transformer 3 grossed $10.8 million in Hong Kong alone followed by Harry Potter at $9.8 million.

In terms of local films, China, South Korea, Thailand, India, Malaysia and the Philippines are among those that have a thriving movie industry. In 2008, Malaysia experienced the growth at 24 percent. China is seen as having a great growth potential moving forward but is still behind India, Korea and Japan.

Chinese films are also becoming popular in other countries as proven by the showings of Red Cliff. Film companies in China have also been tapped by Dreamworks to produce animated movies. Another interesting development worth noting is that China has decided to finance a Hollywood movie that features a superhero known as The Annihilator.

Meanwhile, Sector 7, a sci-fi ocean thriller became the top grossing Korean film in China in December 2011. This large-scale 3D film earned $3.1 million on opening alone.

So you see, whether itâ??s local or foreign films shown in Asia, they have a chance to do well in the box office.

In a series as long running as Batman, villains run the entire spectrum from silly one-offs to genuinely sinister enemies. Sometimes, over the course of a 60+-year history, they end up as both. Mr. Freeze is one of these.

Who Is Mr. Freeze?

Mr. Freeze is the super-villain name for a scientist named Victor Fries. In nearly every iteration, he is a cryogenics specialist, which is where his association with cold comes from. Most often, he is trying to find a way to cure his terminally ill wife of her unspecified disease. In the process of trying to find a cure, an accident occurs, which causes Fries to need an incredibly low body temperature or else he’ll die.

Mr. Freeze started as Mr. Zero, a joke character in the early TV show and comics. He had no history and served as a vessel for ice-themed puns and winter episodes. At one point, the Joker even killed him. It wasn’t until Batman: The Animated Series that he received his tragic history and his sick wife, leading to a much more anti-hero personification.

These days, Mr. Freeze is working to build a criminal empire to raise the money and research the technology necessary to cure his wife. He has a noble goal in mind, and is only an enemy of Batman because of his methods for raising the money.

The Powers and Abilities of Mr. Freeze

True to his name, most of Mr. Freeze’s powers and abilities center on ice, cold and low temperatures. He is usually contained inside a cryogenic suit that keeps his body temperature below freezing. This serves to keep him alive, but the suit often has various modifications to enhance his abilities. He generally has some form of super strength and armor built into the suit to keep him alive.

The iconic weapon that Mr. Freeze wields is a freeze ray. While its exact range of abilities varies from comic to comic and show to show, it generally is capable of leaving icy trails on the ground, freezing people in block of ice, and generally doing anything that ice used as a weapon can do. In some cases, Mr. Freeze doesn’t need the gun to control ice in some form or another.

Mr. Freeze in Television and Movies

Mr. Freeze has been played by a number of different people, from George Sanders to Otto Preminger, Eli Wallach to Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has been voiced by another selection of actors in the animated series and movies, including Michael Ansara and Lennie Weinrib. Freeze’s portrayal by Schwarzenegger in Batman & Robin has been widely criticized, considered too campy and too focused on puns and jokes, despite including his tragic history.

Peter Wendt has been an avid reader of graphic novels for many years. If you’re looking to stay as cool as Mr. Freeze this summer, Peter recommends his readers check out Pfulgerville air conditioning.

Do Smart Phones Bring You More Freedom?

With improvements to our mobile phones, we are now able to do more than ever before while on the move. We can almost do as much with our mobile hand set as we can when we are sitting in front of a computer.

This is great for mobile phone users, but are these advancements making our networks suffer? In the past, there have been ways to unlock mobile phones so they are usable on any network. This involved a lot of knowhow and in some cases, equipment. With the Android operating many phones use, there are apps available to do all this for us.

What Does this Mean?

Before there were apps that could unlock mobile phones, you needed to take your phone to a specialist to enable you to use it with other networks. If you bought a phone that was on an Orange network, you would need to unlock it to use it on say Vodafone. When a phone is â??unlockedâ??, you are free to take the best deal on call time, texts and data you can find, this is not good news for mobile networks, because they often subsidise the cost of handsets locked to their own networks. There are advantages for mobile phone manufacturers who use Android as an operating system. It is open source, there are no fees to include it with a handset. Most importantly, it allows developers to create apps for phones, which increases desirability.

The Unlock App

There are without doubt, apps that can unlock many mobile phones that nobody has heard of yet. The app that has made the news this week is from Project Voodoo and it is available for download on Google Play. The app will allow users of the new Galaxy S3 to unlock the sim so that the handset is usable on any network. There will always be an element of risk involved when you tamper with your mobile phoneâ??s manufacturer settings, but without experiment, there is no progression. The App has had more than 110 five star reviews posted by users in the short space of time it has been available for download from the Android Market (Google Play). Somebody is doing something right.

You can buy the phone sim-free straight from the shelf, although you may find it difficult to find stockists of unlocked mobiles. Most phone shops make the majority of their money by selling contracts to customers and not through selling unlocked handsets. The question is; will this damage the mobile phone industry? This is highly unlikely. It will make it slightly more competitive as mobile networks will need to compete on price even more. Customers who have signed a contract will be obliged to honour any number of months they have remaining. Most new customers will still prefer to have one carrier and one bill at the end of the month. There are only a small percentage of mobile phone users, who do not like the idea of monthly billing.

Not all Phones are Locked

There are some phones that are never subsidised by the mobile networks, because they them as having little appeal to users. Whether or not this is an oversight on their part is yet to be determined. The Nokia 808 PureView has a 41 mega-pixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens. Many people have said that it is more of a camera than a cell phone. This may be why the networks have avoided it. The Nokia is obviously not a cheap phone, so Nokia may have shot themselves in the foot with this one.

There are many sim free mobile phones making an impact in the market. What is right for you may not be right for someone else.

‘The Facial Massage’ by Paula Monaghan enables you to give yourself a complete facial massage to not only look younger, but also to release tension and improve your mood through regular facial massages.

This app is currently priced at $1.99 at the time of this review and is targeted at the iPhone/iPod Touch. However, I tested this app out on my iPad at x2 and it was perfectly okay.

The main plus point for me when looking at the usefulness of this video instructional app on facial massages was that it will save you a truck load of money. Instead of having to travel to a spa or clinic you can carry out a self facial massage in the comfort of your own home for free. Next time you go past a beauty clinic, take note of the price of just one facial massage session. I guarantee it will be around ten times the cost of this app.

There are no in-app purchases or ads in this app. By learning these techniques I can see that you can also give friends a facial massage, making you instantly more popular in your circle of friends for sure.

The video is about 21 minutes long and packed with useful techniques which are clearly explained and easy to follow. The instruction is divided into several parts, a facial warm up massage followed by a complete facial massage workout targeting key areas of the face.

I like the app icon which is minimalistic and pure white in colour which really stood out on my device.

There are over 30 facial massage movements for you to learn in this app. Once you learn the techniques and become familiar with them, the app will be an invaluable reference point if you forget a technique or need a demonstration.

Your face is full of nerves and pleasure points which makes facial massages so pleasurable. As well as relaxation and enjoyment you gain aesthetic results as well, such as an even skin tone and less wrinkles and lines. Thereby making you look younger and fresher in general.

If you come home stressed from work you can have a facial massage to release tension and to improve your mood.

I can see another use to this app if you have a patient husband/partner – why not ask him/her to learn the massage movements so that you can both perform a facial massage on each other?

Facial massages detoxify the face and body too. Lymph is a clear fluid that is filtered by lymph nodes and moves through the blood stream. A lack of muscle movement can end up creating a sluggish response in your lymphatic system leading to a build up of toxins. Regular facial massages negate these harmful effects.

Forget having to search through the phone book for cosmetologists or aestheticians, and keep your money in your pocket to spend on other things. This app is all you will ever need.

Did you know that wrinkles in china are believed to be caused by stagnant ‘Chi’? This is along the same lines as a a stagnant lymphatic system, so the Western and Eastern cultures both respect the value of massage or facial massages.

Add this app to your arsenal of weapons against stress, ageing, headaches or insomnia. You’ll find that this app is priceless.

Overall, a very useful app with high quality video tips on how you can regularly perform facial massages, as well as having concise, well explained methods in the art of facial massage.
